August is the eighth month of the year. It’s named in honour
of Roman Emperor, Augustus Caesar and is renowned as the holiday month for most
workers. So, what is there to do in Edinburgh with all this time off? Whether you’re

What better way to kick the month off with The Royal
Edinburgh Military Tattoo. The tattoo will take place between the 3rd
and 25th of August. This iconic ceremony is regarded as one of the
greatest shows in the world. With the historic fortress of Edinburgh Castle

Getting into full festival spirit, the Edinburgh Fringe
Festival starts on the 3rd of August and runs through until the end
of the month. Tens of thousands of performances, ranging from famous comedians
and musicians all the way to brand-new acts will be performing. The festival
celebrates a diverse and vibrant range of talents and arts. Theatre, comedy,

up the event for 2018. A stunning display of orchestral music and pyrotechnics
